After Unfollowing The Bucks on IG, Who’s Left on Giannis’ “Follow” List? https://www.thesportsgeek.com/news/after-unfollowing-the-bucks-on-ig-whos-left-on-giannis-follow-list/ Giannis Antetokounmpo “unfollowed” his Milwaukee Bucks teammates on Instagram. His Instagram account shows that the Greek Freak is only following 9 IG accounts after that move. Antetokounmpo is a +170 not to re-sign with the Bucks. The internet went crazy earlier today when it was reported that Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo unfollowed ALL of his Milwaukee Bucks teammates on Instagram. Antetokounmpo and the Bucks dominated the NBA regular season for the second straight year but just like last year, their season ended in disappointment. This year, it was a tougher pill to swallow. Kawhi Leonard, who beat them in the 2019 ECF, left for the West, and it appeared like Giannis and company had a clear path to the Finals. But the Miami Heat had other ideas. Now, Giannis and the Bucks are at a crossroads in their relationship. Antetokounmpo will become an unrestricted free agent after the 2020-21 season if the Bucks don’t sign him to an extension deal. However, after back to back failures, the big question is if he really wants to stay. There could be several reasons why Giannis did what he did to his Instagram account and we could only speculate. For all we know, it could have been hacked. Or perhaps he just wants some time alone to think about the future. Either way, the Bucks, their fans, and the fans who want him to transfer to their favorite teams, are excited. For our part, we did our research. If Giannis unfollowed almost everyone, who are the only accounts that he continues to follow? Well, there are nine, and the names on that list are interesting. Which IG Accounts Does Giannis Still Follow? Giannis unfollows all of his Bucks teammates on Instagram👀👀👀 Will Giannis wear a Bucks jersey ever again? pic.twitter.com/KmdhqqsVTd — NBA Syndicate (@NBAsyndicate) September 12, 2020 So who are the nine Instagram accounts whom Giannis still follow right now? We did our job so read on: Brian Davidson, Nike Basketball sports manager, who works as Giannis’ Business Lead and Sports Marketing Manager. Mariah Riddlesprigger, Giannis’ girlfriend who gave birth to “Baby Freak” Liam Charles Antetokounmpo last February. Antetokounbros TV, the YouTube page of the Antetokounmpo brothers. Mila Antetokounmpo, the cute red Goldendoodle dog who joined Giannis’ family in 2018. Francis “Ofili” Antetokounmo, the oldest of the five Antetokounmpo brothers, who is a recording artist. Veronica Antetokounmpo, Giannis’ mom who is a former high jumper. Thanasis, who was drafted by the Knicks in 2016 and currently plays with Giannis in Milwaukee. Alex, the youngers basketball playing Antetokounmpo sibling who currently plays for UCAM Murica of the Liga ACB. Kostas, who has a two-way contract with the Los Angeles Lakers. Technically, Giannis didn’t unfollow ALL of his Milwaukee Bucks teammates. That’s because while Thanasis played just 20 games this season at 6.5 minutes per game during the regular season and didn’t appear in any of Milwaukee’s postseason games, he is on the Bucks’ current roster. But the only reason why Giannis didn’t unfollow him is because he’s his brother. Most of the Instagram accounts that Giannis continues to follow are his family: His four brothers, his mom, his girlfriend, his cute red goldendoodle, and the YouTube page of the Antetokounmpo siblings. In fact, the only non-Antetokounmpo related account on that list is Brian Davidson, the Nike business manager who is in charge of the Greek Freak’s business deals. Time is Ticking Whatever the reason for Giannis’ social media move is still unknown as of this writing. But regardless, it’s a cause of alarm for the Milwaukee Bucks, especially since they are coming off another disappointing finish. Sure, we’ve heard Giannis profess his loyalty to his teammates and the franchise, but at the end of the day, it’s about winning and the clock is ticking for Milwaukee. There are rumors that the Bucks are going to go after Chris Paul in free agency but I don’t know what that move does. Sure, Chris Paul had an excellent season and he is still one of the best point guards in the league. But with all due respect, CP3 has never made it past the conference finals as well. At 35, he would make a perfect complimentary player to a contender like the Clippers or Lakers. I’m not sure that he will turn the Bucks to a champion team. Last year, Milwaukee made the mistake of extending Eric Bledsoe instead of keeping Malcolm Brogdon. Bledsoe’s inability to be a playmaker like Brogdon probably cost the Bucks their season. This offseason, the Bucks cannot afford to make a mistake. The fate of their franchise depends on their next big move. Antetokounmpo was a +170 not to sign an extension with the Bucks. Now may be a good time to take the plus money. Unless Giannis Antetokounpo’s Instagram account was hacked, time is ticking for the Milwaukee Bucks.
